France widens the scope of enforcement

Archipel welcomes significant progress in the field of asset recovery.

As reported in Global Arbitration Review, two judgments of the Cour de cassation pay back Archipel’s long standing efforts to widen the scope of enforcement in France.

In separate cases against the United States and Panama’s alter ego Panama Canal Authority, the Court ruled that attachments can be made in the hands of foreign third-party debtors with a nexus to France.
