Archipel welcomes new Counsel and Senior Associate for 2026
Archipel is pleased to announce the promotion of Marlena Harutyunyan and Panagiotis Kyriakou to Counsel, and of Joanna Didisheim to Senior Associate, effective 1 January 2026.
Marlena Harutyunyan joined Archipel’s Geneva office in 2022. She focuses her practice on international arbitration and cross-border litigation. She has significant experience in both commercial and investment arbitrations before major arbitral institutions (ICC, ICSID, Swiss Arbitration Centre, LCIA, SCC, etc.). Marlena mainly represents and advises clients in complex disputes in different industry sectors, including construction and infrastructure, oil and gas, energy, automotive. Marlena also acts for clients in arbitration-related litigation before French and Swiss courts and enforcement of arbitral awards and foreign court decisions against states. Prior to joining Archipel, Marlena practiced international arbitration and litigation in the Paris and New York offices of Baker McKenzie.
Marlena holds an LLM in International Dispute Resolution from Queen Mary University of London, as well as a Magistère Juriste d’Affaires – D.J.C.E. and a Master’s degree in Commercial Law from University Paris-2 Panthéon-Assas. She is a member of the Paris bar and registered at the Geneva bar.
Panagiotis Kyriakou joined Archipel’s Geneva office in 2021. Before joining the firm, he worked with Giulio Palermo, served as a PhD researcher and teaching assistant at the Geneva Graduate Institute, and trained in Geneva, Athens and Paris. He is the Swiss Arbitration Ambassador for Cyprus, an alternate member of the ILA’s ADR Committee, and a listed arbitrator with the Blockchain Lawyers Forum and the ICC Swiss Commission of Arbitration. Prior to his promotion, Panagiotis was the firm’s longest-serving associate in Geneva. His practice focuses on international arbitration (e.g., ICC, Swiss Rules) and sports law (e.g., proceedings before CAS as well as before decision-making bodies of international sports federations), complemented by experience in Swiss commercial matters and asset recovery. He regularly teaches, speaks and publishes, and holds a PhD in international law from the Geneva Graduate Institute. He is a member of the Athens Bar and registered at the Geneva Bar.
Joanna Didisheim joined Archipel’s Geneva office in 2022. Her work focuses on complex litigation, with particular expertise in white-collar crime, enforcement of foreign judgments, and asset recovery. Prior to joining Archipel, she practiced litigation at LALIVE in Geneva. Joanna holds a Master’s degree from the University of Zurich and an LL.M. in International Dispute Resolution from King’s College London.
